FAQs
Q: How old does my dog have to be?
A: Your puppy must be old enough to have received their rabies vaccination. (Minimum of 3 months old). The sooner they become acclimated to the grooming process the better!
Q: How often should I bring my dog/cat to the groomer
A: For dogs with short/shedding hair, every 6-8 weeks to minimize shedding around the house and also to keep them acclimated and comfortable with the grooming process to ensure a stress-free visit.
For dogs with long hair that get a short haircut every 6-8 weeks for regular maintenance.
For dogs with long hair that get a longer or "fluffier" haircut, 4-6 weeks depending on how often you brush your pet at home.
For dogs with long hair that get a very long haircut (or no haircut at all aka "drop coat") every 2-4 weeks depending on how often you brush your pet at home.
For cats with short hair who ARE cleaning themselves regularly, 8-12 weeks (depending on your preference).
For cats with short hair who are NOT cleaning themselves regularly (due to age or weight) we recommend every 4-6 weeks.
For cats with long hair who ARE cleaning themselves, 6-8 weeks to prevent any tangles/matts in the hard to reach areas.
For cats with long hair who are NOT cleaning themselves 4-6 weeks to ensure any tangles/matts don't get out of hand. (It can happen fast!)
*We do not encourage full haircuts on cats unless they are matted and it is necessary.
